According to an article by Marisa Wong in Linkedin ‘Internet user and smartphone subscription growth may be slowing, but usage and engagement continues to rise – largely thanks to our mobile devices‘.
Ms Wong was gleaning information from KPCB’s Mary Meeker. In here report Ms Meeker says that advertisers are missing out on a $25 billion dollar opportunity with mobile advertising. She says that 24% of media is consumed on mobile, yet only 8% of advertising is allotted to the medium. She gives a breakdown in the following slide:
